How does this work?

Once we have received notification from PayPal, we will email you a link to your online spreadsheet. You can then start using the spreadsheet to do your book keeping right away. Please note that once the spreadsheet has been created and emailed to you, no refund can be offered as each spreadsheet is personalised to you.

What happens if I make a mistake?

If a mistake is made on a spreadsheet, you can simply press the ‘Undo’ icon at the top of the page or go to the ‘Edit’ drop-down menu at the top of the page and select ‘Undo’.

Google Docs continually updates your spreadsheet, so if your computer closes unexpectedly, you shouldn't lose any information.

Will it be updated every year?

We will update tax parameters, tax codes and NI codes when you purchase a new spreadsheet, for the current year.

What if I don’t have a Google email account?

That’s no problem. As long as you have an email address, you will be able to use Google Docs to keep your accounts.

I haven’t used a spreadsheet before. Is it really as simple as you say to use?

It really is! You just enter basic information from the sales and purchases you have made, keep a record of any mileage you do for the business, and the spreadsheet does the rest...it even shows you exactly how to complete the Profit & Loss part of your Self Assessment tax return!

What support do you offer me?

We offer unlimited email and telephone support on our spreadsheets.
We're happy to help you customise the spreadsheet exactly to your needs, or talk you through the process of entering your transactions, and can even fix errors you might have made, within reason.

Will I need any special training?

The spreadsheet has been designed for use by people with very little, or no computer experience and who may not have seen a spreadsheet before. If you would like anything explained in more depth, we’re more than happy to advise you through the set-up process and explain how to use the spreadsheet.

What if I need to change the spreadsheet a little bit?

You can send us an email and explain your requirements to our technical department, who will be happy to help with that.

How do I pay?

You  make payment via PayPal, and then we'll email you a link to your spreadsheet for that particular year.

Do you offer accountancy advice as well as technical advice?

The technical advice we offer specifically relates to the functionality and set-up of the spreadsheet. Accountancy advice would be far more technical and varied than this and therefore we won’t be able to offer any specific advice. We would advise you to speak to HM Revenue & Customs:

Will I need an accountant?

If you’re a sole trader or partnership, we would recommend you keep your own book-keeping records on the Easy As 123 Accounts spreadsheet. You can then print off the pages and take them to your local tax office for FREE advice if you feel you need it, but most of our users fill in their own Self Assessment forms.

If you’re trading as a Ltd Company, then the Self-Assessment form is a little more complex and you may need some help with it. However, you can keep your records on the Easy As 123 Accounts spreadsheet, print off the sheets and ask advice from your tax office on how to fill in the Self-Assessment form. It can be beneficial to have an accountant to help with finalising your accounts at the end of your year, as they may be able to offer advice on saving tax as a LTD Company.
